What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator, is hired by George Reed of Floyd's of England after an unusual policy issued in his absence comes to light. The policy pays out if Mary Ellen Markham does not die, and her doctor, Dr. Albert Schwinner, is the beneficiary. Johnny questions Harry Baxter, the agent who sold the policy, and then visits Miss Markham, who is seriously ill. He hears that Schwinner is her physician and that the policy has a 10 November deadline. The episode is from Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, which aired on CBS Radio on 24 November 1957 and starred Bob Bailey, Edmond O'Brien, John Lund and Charles Russell.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
