What happens

When 85 mink coats worth $300,000 are stolen from the Elwood Faber Department Store in Boston, night watchman Cronin is shot and left in the cold storage vault. Johnny Dollar arrives to investigate a professional job—the vault door was opened with expert safecracking, picked clean without a trace of tools or damage.

Characters: Johnny Dollar, Ed Bonner, Lieutenant Delaney, Cronin, Al Reedy, Emetree Stroganoff

Listen for: The details of how the thief opened the vault without forcing it, why the night watchman on duty heard nothing, and the identity of a safecracker skilled enough to pull off such a neat job.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
