What happens

Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, is asked by Harry Branson of Philadelphia Mutual Liability to look into the theft of the Canary diamonds, valued at $515,000, from the home of Mrs. Arthur Pierpont Galloway. Dollar learns that a man disguised with heavy makeup took the stones after arranging a phony magazine photo session, and police suspect the smuggler Mickey O'Bannon. Dollar visits O'Bannon's drug import office, where he recognizes O'Bannon's voice from the radio and is warned to stay away. He then traces a customer, Mrs. Peterson, who is leaving on a world tour with a bottle of O'Bannon's oversized pills. The Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series, broadcast on CBS Radio on November 20, 1960, stars Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
