What happens

Johnny Dollar investigates a claim involving John Reardon, who supposedly died five years ago in a boating accident off the Chesapeake, but is now reported to be alive in Denver under the assumed name Frank Bowers. Johnny befriends Reardon's widow Elizabeth to gather information, but his investigation is complicated when Elizabeth's controlling friend Hugh Bryan arrives and demands Johnny leave her alone.

Listen for: Johnny's telephone calls to his detective friend in Denver and to Elizabeth Reardon; his evening visit to Elizabeth's home where she reveals details about her marriage to John Reardon; the unexpected arrival of Hugh Bryan, Reardon's former attorney; Johnny's later conversation with Coast Guard Lieutenant Halverson about the boat explosion and the missing body.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
