What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar rushes to meet actress Amy Bradshaw at the theater, where she claims to finally know who's been trying to kill her. Instead, he finds Mike Pomeroy shot dead in her dressing room. A mysterious hand with a distinctive signet ring fired the fatal shot, and suspicion falls on Porter Kane, a man with a history of obsessive behavior and a motive rooted in jealousy.
