What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is in Santa Tomás investigating a $75,000 embezzlement case involving a man named Alvin Summers. A bellboy named Benito, who promised to help Johnny locate Summers, is found murdered in Johnny's hotel room with his throat cut. Lieutenant Gomez questions Johnny about his whereabouts and motives while Johnny tries to piece together who killed Benito and why.
