What happens
Johnny Dollar arrives in Milwaukee as a bodyguard for Anne Connolly, a woman terrified of Neil Grafter, a man she once knew who is being released from prison on parole today and has threatened to kill her if she looks at another man. Dollar finds the situation puzzling when he discovers that despite claiming she couldn't afford protection, Connolly lives in an elegant house with a personal maid and spends her evenings out with other men.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin; an elegant house on the right side of town
Characters: Johnny Dollar, Franklin Haley, Anne Connolly, Neil Grafter, Ray Merrick, Cora
Listen for: Johnny Dollar's witty observations about his assignment and growing confusion about why a supposedly desperate woman lives such a comfortable life
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
