What happens
Jerry and Bob learn from the morning paper that Stephen Platt, baggage master at the Hansburg railway station, has been arrested while trying to board a freight train. Jerry is troubled, because Platt has left Tom, a boy who works for him, with no money and no way forward. Tom has a father in Fordham whose letters stopped long ago. Jerry asks Mr. Randall whether Tom can travel with the circus, and Mr. Randall agrees to find Tom work. Later, Jerry must give a red sweater to the district attorney, Mr. Stanton, and sign statements about the case. Jerry tells him what he knows, and the papers are prepared for signing.
Hansburg, where Randall's circus is playing, including the circus grounds and the district attorney's office.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
