What happens

Jerry and Sandy race along a runaway train of circus cars, setting brakes by hand as the cars head toward a steep grade. They manage to stop the cars before the drop. Afterward a fire has damaged the props and costumes, and the circus crew works through the night to salvage what they can. Jerry helps the wardrobe women sort the scorched costumes, while the clown Slats frets over the loss of his grandfather's vest. The recording ends with Slats planning to search second-hand shops in the morning for a replacement.

A circus train on a mountain grade, and later the circus grounds at night after a fire.

Characters: Jerry, Sandy, Clara, Slats, Bidy

Listen for: The race to set the brakes on the runaway cars, and the late-night salvage work after the fire.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
