What happens
Jerry Dugan rides with the circus across town to a children's hospital, where the troupe performs a yearly show for young patients. Jack Hastings, the publicity man, first suggested the visit. Jason and the other performers unload animals and props, and Jerry learns that many of the children have been confined to beds for years. Major Mite and Beppo, two clowns who each claim the children prefer them, prepare their rival acts. Jerry is introduced as assistant master of ceremonies and walks among the children answering questions, where he meets a young patient who longs to see the circus. The show on the lawn is about to begin.

Listen for: Jerry's conversation with the young patient in the garden, and the rivalry between Major Mite and Beppo.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
