What happens
Jerry and his circus colleagues learn that Spike, a roustabout, is an escaped convict, and Mr. Bradley turns him in to the police. Spike tells Jerry he was framed years ago for a mail train robbery while working as a station baggage man in Hansburg, when a red sweater resembling his was seen by witnesses. Jerry, who has grown fond of Spike, resolves to investigate once the circus reaches Hansburg. Spike is taken away in handcuffs, and Bradley declines the reward for turning him in. The episode is part of the radio series Jerry of the Circus, first broadcast on September 6, 1937.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
