What happens

Jerry, a young performer with the circus, and his friend Johnny Bradley watch the Bandinis perform on a high wire in the dressing area. The wire has begun to rust, and the family's leader Alfredo and Carlos argue over whether to work without the safety net. Carlos insists the act go on, and the family performs with the net below them. Their evening takes a serious turn as the wire gives way during one of their routines. Mr. Bradley and the others rush to help the injured performers, and Carlos is taken to the wagon to be cared for. Later, news arrives that a river trestle on the route may be too weak for the circus train to cross. This is from the Jerry of the Circus series, original air date August 4, 1937.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
