What happens
Jerry and Patsy set out to learn where a safe deposit box belonging to Jerry's late father is kept. Jerry has found an old key among his keys, and Patsy helps him look into it. Early in the day, Jerry works with Whitey at the horse wagons, and the two talk about horses, including the white horses and the rosin used on their backs in the ring. Later, Jerry and Patsy collect their pay from Jim Bennett at the office wagon, then cross the street to a bank. There, Mr. Ross, a bank official, examines the key and finds it has no bank name on it, only a number. He agrees to send it to a clearinghouse association to see whether another bank uses the same type of lock.
A traveling circus in the morning, moving from the horse wagons to the office wagon and then to a bank across the street.
Characters: Jerry, Patsy, Whitey, Jim Bennett, Mr. Ross
Listen for: Mr. Ross's suggestion to send the key to the clearinghouse association to trace which bank might use the same lock.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
