What happens
Jerry, a young performer with the circus, and his friend Clara, the wardrobe seamstress, deal with a rainstorm that disrupts the show and turns the lot to mud. Clara has been losing small items from her tent, mostly at night, and Jerry proposes a trap: a camera rigged with flash bulbs and hidden bell pushers in the sawdust that will photograph whoever steps on them. Jack Hastings, the publicity man, agrees to set it up, and Clara is cautiously hopeful. Meanwhile Major Mike, a small performer, angrily demands his satin coat be pressed in time for the matinee, accusing Clara of past mistakes. The episode is from the Jerry of the Circus series, original air date July 20, 1937.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
