What happens
Private investigator Jeff Regan is hired by the American Insurance Company to look into a $35,000 life insurance claim after John Renzo dies suddenly, with Marie Rochelle Portier named as beneficiary. Regan begins by visiting Dr. Maurice Wade, the examining physician who approved Renzo's policy, but the doctor refuses to cooperate. Regan's inquiries lead him to a police sergeant, Salvatore Winetti, who reveals Renzo had a long-standing heart condition. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
