What happens
Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone are told by the Lucky Strike sponsor to replace the show's quartet or see the program changed. In the episode, Jack first helps with Rochester's income tax, then visits the talent agent Nelson hoping to find a new singing group. Nelson presents a string of unusual acts, including a pair of brothers called the Seals, a group of girls, and a talking dog named Fido. Jack rejects each one, and the search for a quartet continues without a settled result.

Listen for: The sponsor's letter threatening to replace Jack's show, and Nelson's parade of unusual acts
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
