What happens

Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone spend New Year's night trying to get tickets to the Rose Bowl game. Jack, Mary and Phil Harris leave Don Wilson's New Year's Eve party late, and Jack phones around in the small hours seeking seats from a Hollywood contact. Rochester drives the couple to Pasadena, where the pair join a long ticket line. This episode of The Jack Benny Program aired on January 4, 1948, on NBC and CBS Radio, with Benny, Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Harris in the leading roles. The story follows Benny and Livingstone through a busy, comic few hours of waiting.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
