What happens
On New Year's Day, Jack Benny resolves to start the year on better terms, but his orchestra and cast soon prove hard to manage. Jack, Mary Livingstone, Rochester and Phil Harris are among those in the cast, along with Don Wilson, and the episode keeps the usual Jack Benny Program mix of gags. Dennis Day appears under a new name, and a sponsor message for Lucky Strike is part of the broadcast. Jack and Rochester later set out for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, where the car runs into trouble on the route. The episode is from the Jack Benny Program series, and the transcript is machine-made and partly garbled.

Listen for: Jack's New Year's resolutions and the orchestra's behavior before the show, Dennis Day's new name, and Rochester's car trouble on the parade route
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
