What happens

Jack Benny reports that his car has been stolen, after his butler Rochester discovers the theft by phone at the studio. The Lucky Strike program, from October 1950 on NBC and CBS Radio, stars Jack Benny with Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris. Earlier, Benny, Phil Harris and Dennis Day lunch together at a drugstore, where the cast trades jokes about cucumber splits and scout meetings. Benny then learns from Rochester that his Maxwell is gone and goes to the Beverly Hills police station to report it. There he meets Sergeant Vandermeer, and the officers question Rochester and then broadcast a description of the car over the police radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
