What happens
Jack Benny hosts his radio program with Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Eddie Anderson as Rochester, Dennis Day and Don Wilson. Rochester cannot hear the show because his radio has stopped working, so Benny has him listen by telephone while the cast trades jokes, and Phil Harris proposes a trio. Dennis Day sings a song, and then the cast performs a comedy version of The Egg and I, in which Benny and Livingstone play the newlywed couple who move onto a rundown farm. Their neighbors Zeke and Paul Kettle appear as they begin their first days in the country. The program was broadcast on April 20, 1947, on NBC.

Listen for: Rochester calling in by telephone because his radio is broken, and the cast's comedy version of The Egg and I with the neighbors Zeke and Paul Kettle.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
