What happens

During his annual pantry inventory, Jack Benny and his valet Rochester tally cans, bottles and boxes while Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day and others drop in with distractions. Jack loses his footing on a stool and is knocked out by a falling can of tomato juice, after which he begins acting strangely. The Jack Benny program, broadcast on NBC and CBS Radio in 1949 and starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris, presents this episode. The story is told through a series of comic visits, phone calls and mishaps centred on Benny's household and his friends.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
