Benny and Livingstone later take a train to Los Angeles, where Don Wilson greets them and Dennis Day meets them at the station. Benny reflects on his European engagements in England, France, Germany and Switzerland. This is the season premiere of The Jack Benny Program, first broadcast on October 3, 1948.

Listen for: Phil Harris boasting about his London success and his French lessons, and Benny hearing an echo at the train station.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
