What happens

Jack Benny learns that 20th Century Fox needs a 1923 Maxwell for a picture and rushes to the studio with his own car, hoping to rent it. Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Dennis Day join him, while Don Wilson sleeps through much of the visit. Jack haggles with producer Mr. Kern over the rental fee, and the deal turns on what the studio plans to do with the car in its final scene. Set against the backdrop of a Hollywood film studio, the episode is part of the Jack Benny Program, which aired on NBC and CBS Radio. It was first broadcast on April 24, 1955.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
