What happens
Jack Benny returns from a trip to Chicago and trades jokes with Mary Livingston, Phil Harris, Dennis Day and Don Wilson on his Jell-O program. Benny reports his Chicago benefit appearance and the cold weather there, and the cast teases one another about money and timing. Dennis Day explains why he arrived late, having been stuck in a phone booth. Benny then announces a special contest, the Quiz Kids against the Jell-O cast, with a $10 prize for the winning team. The program is broadcast from Hollywood, California, in April 1941, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Dennis Day, on NBC and CBS Radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
