What happens

Jack Benny hosts a broadcast from the Opera House in Chicago, joined by Mary Livingstone, Don Wilson, Dennis Day and Phil Harris. Benny brags about his reception in town and trades jokes with the cast about the city's dim-out and his hometown. A group of young guests from the Quiz Kids arrives backstage, and Benny agrees to a quiz contest between them and his own team. The questions cover history, mathematics, fish and insects, with points awarded to each side in turn. The sketch is one of the radio comedy episodes that the Jack Benny series broadcast in 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
