What happens

Jack Benny gets ready to fly to New York City for a benefit show, with Mary Livingstone and his valet Rochester helping him pack. The packing turns into a string of mix-ups over his suits, a tuxedo, an old pigeon named Natalie and a borrowed suitcase, while Dennis Day and Phil Harris drop by with their own jokes. Benny heads to the airport with Mary and Rochester, where a series of errands and odd conversations hold up his departure. The Jack Benny Program aired on NBC and CBS Radio on April 3, 1949, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Jack Benny's home in Beverly Hills, then the car ride and the airport in Los Angeles, before a flight to New York City.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
