What happens

Jack Benny hosts an early New Year's Eve gathering at his Beverly Hills home before a planned date with Helene Francois. His guests Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Dennis Day arrive, and the group trades jokes and banter, with Rochester handling the eggnog. Jack then takes Helene and his friends to a supper club, where the evening becomes increasingly chaotic. The program is part of the Jack Benny series, first broadcast on December 30, 1951, with Benny, Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Listen for: Rochester's eggnog and the recurring running gag about who made it, plus the supper club scene.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
