What happens

Jack Benny and his cast perform from the Plaza Theatre in Palm Springs, California, during a stay on the desert. Jack boasts about his tan while Don Wilson and Mary Livingstone trade jabs about horseback riding, and Dennis Day sings a song in Spanish. The program then turns to a mystery melodrama set in Palm Springs, titled Murder at the Racket Club. Captain Benny, the local police chief, is called to the racket club after a report that the playboy Kerry Carrou has been murdered, and he begins questioning the club's guests. The broadcast is a comedy from the Jell-O program, first aired on March 9, 1941, on NBC and CBS Radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
