What happens

Jack Benny is still sore about losing $50 on Rochester's horse, Burt Cork, at the Kentucky Derby, and Rochester has been dodging him for a week. When Rochester wants $25 to buy his mother a geranium for Mother's Day, Benny refuses to hand over money to a man who cost him so much. Meanwhile Louis Armstrong waits at a Central Avenue nightspot for two girls, Phil Harris and Don Wilson head out for the night, and Mary Livingstone tries to get through Benny's fan mail. This is the Jack Benny radio series, first broadcast on May 9, 1943, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading parts.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
