What happens

Jack Benny takes a visit with his friends Don Wilson, Kenny Baker and Phil Harris, who tease him about his new exercise routine and the wristwatch he owes Phil. Benny tells the group that Mary Livingston has been called away to shoot a scene for her first picture at Paramount. The men decide to follow her to the studio, where they find Mary struggling with a dramatic scene and her director trying to coax a better performance from her. The Jack Benny program aired on NBC and CBS Radio on June 13, 1937, starring Jack Benny with Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

A radio studio, then the Paramount movie studio in Hollywood.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
