What happens
Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone attend a special Hollywood showing of Ronald Colman's new picture, A Double Life, after Jack unexpectedly receives an invitation. Rochester struggles to help Jack dress, while Phil Harris drops in and wanders the household. At the theatre, the pair keep bumping into Ronald and Benita Colman, and Jack and Mary tangle with the usher, a stranded collar button, and a noisy travelogue. The evening moves on to dinner at Ciro's, where a disputed check causes trouble. The episode is part of the Jack Benny series, first broadcast on February 1, 1948 on NBC and CBS Radio, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
