What happens
Jack Benny ends the season with a show full of wisecracks and guest appearances. Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Dennis Day trade jokes with him as Benny's show plays out, and the cast argues about whether Fred Allen or Benny is the better comedian. Benny then introduces Jack Parr as the summer replacement. The Jack Benny program aired on May 25, 1947, on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
