What happens

Jack Benny, playing himself, appears as a surprise guest on his own Jell-O program, where Mary Livingston and Phil Harris join him for banter about his film career and his age. The cast then performs a parody of an English drawing room drama titled Lady Millicent's Husband, in which Benny plays Lord Stanley Puffy Pan, a retired loafer. Lady Millicent, played by Livingston, inherits money from a cousin and attracts a line of former husbands. Phil Harris plays Sir Philip Harris, and Kenny Baker, with the cast, takes part in the comic courtship and the squabble over who gets to propose to her. The program was first broadcast on April 18, 1937, on NBC/CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the lead roles.

A Jell-O radio program broadcast from Hollywood, moving into an English drawing room at the Puffy Pan mansion near London.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
