What happens
Jack Benny hosts a broadcast from Palm Springs, joined by Mary Livingstone, Don Wilson and Dennis Day. Benny chats with Don about horseback riding and the resort's popularity, while Mary arrives late with a rambling excuse. A phone call from Jerry Colona, the Palm Springs police chief, leads to talk of Dennis Day being arrested over unpaid fresh air. The group then tries to get a quartet to sing a commercial straight, and Benny shows his friends the house he is building. The house has several odd problems, including a missing swimming pool and a garage eaten by termites.
Palm Springs, a desert resort town in California, where Jack Benny is staying and building a house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
