What happens
Jack Benny is at home in Beverly Hills, cleaning out his refrigerator with Rochester, when a friend, Phil Harris, arrives asking to borrow $2,000 to fund a summer tour with his orchestra. Jack agrees to lend the money under a formal agreement and then heads out for a violin lesson with Professor LeBlanc. The lesson is cancelled because the professor has hurt his ankle, so Jack sets off to visit him anyway by streetcar, meeting Dennis Day along the way. This episode is from the Jack Benny radio series, which aired on May 15, 1949, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
