What happens
Jack Benny hosts a dinner evening at his home, where his servant Rochester serves inventive meals and a card game with Phil Harris and Dennis Day goes awry. Word arrives that Leo Durocher will be visiting for a week, and Benny brags of his friendship with the baseball manager. Meanwhile, the neighbour, Ronald Colman, grows exasperated by Benny's habit of borrowing household items. The episode is from the Jack Benny series, first broadcast on November 17, 1946, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
