What happens
Jack Benny hosts his radio program from the Marine base at Quantico, Virginia, with Mary Livingstone absent due to a cold. Virginia Bruce joins the show as a guest, and the cast plays along with Benny's comedic banter, including a running gag about Dennis Day and a dispute over Rochester's living arrangements. Benny is then cast as the leading man in a film directed by Gregory Ratoff, and the cast rehearses a romantic scene, with Benny's enthusiasm causing trouble. The program is broadcast as part of the Grape Nuts Flakes series, and the episode takes place in January 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
