What happens
Jack Benny and his cast are spending a week in Palm Springs, California, at a rented lodging with odd quirks. Rochester tends to Benny's sunbathing, Mary Livingstone visits, and Phil Harris phones from Los Angeles about a forgotten suitcase. Connie Barlow performs a reworded song with a quartet, and Dennis Day has trouble with a local trio over money. Al Jolson drops by to discuss his appearance on the upcoming program, and an argument develops over his singing and the jokes made about it. This is the Jack Benny program, broadcast from Palm Springs on April 2, 1950, on NBC and CBS Radio, with the regular cast led by Jack Benny.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
