What happens

Jack Benny and his cast gather for the Jell-O program on the eve of daylight saving time, and Jack jokes with announcer Don Wilson about his sleep and his Wednesday nights at the theater. The group learns that Fred Allen is moving his broadcast to Sunday nights, which would put him up against Jack's show. Jack decides to fight the change, taking the matter to the program manager and calling his fellow performers to protest. Meanwhile, Phil Harris, Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day and Eddie Anderson trade jokes, and the show's regular sketches and songs keep the evening moving. The episode first aired on February 8, 1942.

The Jell-O program studio broadcast from Hollywood, with the cast gathered at the microphone for a live show.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
