What happens
Jack Benny broadcasts from Palm Springs, California, with Don Wilson, Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Rochester. Jack teases Don about a horse and a sunsuit, then exchanges banter with Mary and Phil about a crowded town, Phil's band and the meaning of the word filibuster. Rochester calls in with news of a mishap involving the car, and Larry Stevens sings a song. Jack then recounts how he and Mary went looking for a place to stay, stopping at a hot dog stand and a restaurant, where they join Eddie Cantor for lunch and Jack tries to find a room to rent.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
