What happens

Jack Benny returns from Palm Springs and must slip out of his Beverly Hills house without being seen by his neighbor Ronald Coleman, who is angry about a lawn mower. He borrows a costume from his Charlie's Aunt days and disguises himself as a woman. Rochester helps with the disguise, and Mary Livingston is waiting at a corner to drive him to the studio. On the way, Benny runs into Coleman, who helps him across the street without recognizing him. At the studio, the cast rehearses, and Dorothy Kirsten of the Metropolitan Opera joins the Sportsmen Quartet for a number. The Jack Benny program aired on NBC and CBS Radio on April 25, 1948, and the lead actors include Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
