What happens

Jack Benny and his cast perform from Vancouver, British Columbia, during a stop on their tour. Jack and Don Wilson comment on the hotel and the city, and a mayor's representative arrives to welcome Jack with an unexpected and roundabout tour of local landmarks. Mary Livingstone recalls her childhood years in Vancouver, while Phil Harris tries to take over Jack's orchestra leadership. The program also features a guest appearance by the mayor and an appeal for Canada's Sixth Victory Loan. Dennis Day says farewell before leaving to join the Navy, and the show closes with Jack handing him a sailor suit. Rochester is also worried about an upcoming boat trip.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
