What happens
Jack Benny, preparing for the coming age of television, has his household sorted out one morning in Beverly Hills while Rochester handles the chores and the mail. Among the letters are bills and notices, and a circular advertising reduced car prices with generous trade-in allowances. Jack decides to trade in his old Maxwell and buy a new car, and Mary Livingstone goes with him to the automobile showrooms. The episode is a 1949 installment of the Jack Benny series, first broadcast on April 24, 1949, on NBC and CBS Radio, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
