What happens
Jack Benny plans a personal appearance tour and his new publicity man, Dick Fisher, proposes a series of odd stunts, including performing with pigeons and jumping into a net. Benny rejects each one and grows impatient as visitors, including Dennis and Rochester, come and go around the house. Mary Livingstone joins him for a trip downtown to buy a new suit. The shopping trip brings its own complications, with a salesman, a tailor and a conversation about the fabric and fit of the suit. The episode is a comic piece of the Jack Benny program, featuring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris, and it aired on 1954-05-30 on NBC / CBS Radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
