What happens

Jack Benny celebrates the fifth anniversary of his radio program on May 2, 1937, with his cast and friends. Mary Livingstone reads a clumsy poem, Kenny Baker sings September in the Rain, and Andy Devine visits with a banana cream pie. A reporter from a Hollywood paper interviews Benny and arranges a group photograph. The program then moves into a comic western skit, Buck Benny Rides Again, in which Benny plays a sheriff throwing a party to mark his fifth year in office at the Busy Bee restaurant. The Jell-O program is the sponsor on this broadcast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
