What happens

Jack Benny broadcasts his radio show from San Francisco while staying at the Fairmont Hotel, joined by Don Wilson, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson as Rochester, and Phil Harris. Jack's trip begins with a bickering exchange with Don about travel arrangements, and the cast wanders around town, with Frankie and the band enjoying the city. Singer Giselle MacKenzie, performing at the current theater, comes by to pick up a musical arrangement, and Jack tries repeatedly to place a phone call. Mary shares a story about a cable car ride, and Rochester handles Jack's breakfast order and laundry duties. The segment shows the cast's comic banter and everyday misadventures during their week in San Francisco.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
