What happens
Jack Benny, back home after a trip to New York, wants nothing but a quiet afternoon by the fire. Over the course of the day, his staff, his friend Dennis Day, his wife Mary Livingstone and his press agent Steve Bradley keep interrupting him. Phone calls from strangers warn of a planned bank robbery, and Jack, believing them, takes the alarm to the police, who treat the tip as serious. The Jack Benny radio comedy, broadcast by NBC and CBS Radio on February 4, 1951, stars Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Listen for: The parrot Polly repeating overheard phone conversations, and Jack's attempt to relax being repeatedly interrupted
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
