What happens

Jack Benny hosts a broadcast from the San Diego Naval Air Station, joined by Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Dennis Day and Rochester. Benny chats with Don Wilson about the planes on the base and recalls his own time as a sailor in the First World War. Mary describes a pilot who flirted with her, and Dennis tells of his Navy service in the South Pacific. Benny and Harris bicker over Harris's band, and Mr. Kitzel drops by with comic mix-ups about his travels. The program then turns to a sea sketch, All Hands on Deck, in which Benny plays a ship's captain and the crew gets a series of muddled orders. Rochester calls in with a request about the car.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
