What happens
Jack Benny and his cast present their first broadcast from the new NBC studios in Hollywood, where Jack and Don Wilson joke about the building's luxury and the audience. Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Kenny Baker join in the banter and a series of sketches. The program then turns to a radio version of Walter Wanger's film Algiers, in which Jack plays the jewel thief Pepe Lamoco and Mary plays his sweetheart, Inez. The broadcast is part of the Jell-O series, first aired on 1938-10-23 on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.
The new NBC studios in Hollywood, and a Casbah hideout in the native quarter of Algiers in the radio play.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
