What happens

Anne, a young woman newly engaged to David, is haunted by a gypsy violinist's melody after she hears it played at a cafe. Hypnotized by the tune, she becomes drawn back to the cafe and to a black cat with yellow eyes that belongs to a man named Lugos. The Inner Sanctum Mysteries episode The Melody of Death, aired April 22, 1944, stars Mary Astor as Anne. As David tries to help her fight the music's hold, Anne's confused memories and the violinist's influence begin to blur what is real and what is imagined.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
